  • Overview

    Poses as subject for paintings, sculptures, drawings, and other types of artistic expression. 

    Responsibilities

    • 90% Holds poses for varying time intervals as a nude or costumed model.  Takes direction from the instructor to provide suitable poses and independently strike suitable interpretive poses.
    • 5% Assists faculty members in setting up and tearing down the modeling stage before and after each session.
    • 5% Performs other duties as needed or assigned.

    2. Complies with all laws and regulations related to higher education.
    3. Exhibits mature behavior and professional demeanor required for ethical nude modeling.
    4. Works a flexible schedule as requested. This position is generally limited to working a maximum of 6 hours per week.
    5. Arrives in a timely manner for scheduled modeling sessions.
    6. Exhibits reliability and initiative.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED required.  Completion of art courses may be helpful.
    • No previous work experience required.  Prior modeling experience desired but not required.
    • Normal courtesy in dealing with others is required.  Work involves minimal contacts, usually within the department.  Contact usually involving routine, non-sensitive issues.  External contacts are limited to incidental contacts with visitors, or no contact.
    • Understand the aesthetics of the human form.
    • Must have physical stamina to hold long/dynamic poses; psychologically and emotionally mature for nude modeling.

    This position requires three references. This position is considered a security sensitive position and will require a criminal background check.
