Advanced Manufacturing Technology Professor:  Provides instruction in Advanced Manufacturing courses in one or more of the following areas:  Machining, Electrical, Quality Control, and Motor Control.  

 

 

The salary rate for this position is $650.00 per credit hour.

Responsibilities

  • 50%    Prepares and presents lectures, discussions, and lab experiences using a variety of training aids, instructional devices, and learning technologies.  
  • 25%    Conducts hands-on lab sessions using high technology training equipment, software, and hardware.
  • 10%    Prepares and provides feedback to students.
  • 10%    Conducts evaluations and assessments of student performance.
  • 5%      Develops learning outcome measures.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in a field related to Machining.
  • Five years experience as a machinist.
  • Ten years experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of manual lathes, vertical mills, surface grinders and drill presses.
  • Excellent attendance background is required.
  • A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.  
  • Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or can be of a personal or sensitive nature.
  • Work may involve motivating or influencing others.
