A&P Professor:  This is an Adjunct position that instructs lecture and lab classes in Anatomy & Physiology I (BIOL2101/2301), Anatomy & Physiology II (BIOL 2102/2302).

The salary rate for this position is $650.00 per credit hour.

• 75% Teaches no more than 9 credit hours per semester, courses may include microbiology, anatomy and physiology, general biology, and nutrition.
• 10% Works as a team member in the Biological and Physical Sciences Department; complies with all faculty responsibilities as outlined in college policies and procedures.
• 10% Contributes to campus assessment process by measuring and reporting student learning outcomes as directed to meet THECB Core Objectives and SACSCOC requirements.
• 5%   Performs other duties as assigned by the Dean and Department Chair.

• Master's degree or higher with 18 hours of graduate courses in biology from an accredited college or university.
• Previous successful experience teaching in the area of biology at the university or community college level; however, professional experience may be held as equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to engage students in the learning process and proven commitment to student success.
• Collegial attitude with college community as well as outside entities.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple assignments.
• Excellent computer and multi-media skills.
• Preferred: Experience in tracking student learning outcomes, analyzing resultant data, and implementing improvement plans.
