Overview

Grayson College Center for Workplace Learning Kid's Camp Medical Personnel needed: Temporary full-time positions

 

CWL Kid's Camp Medical Personnel will be responsible for the care and supervision of all medical services. This care includes looking after ill or injured campers, administering medication, food allergy issues or emergency care..  These individuals will be situated directly in the learning environment with students. 

 

Must be available to work the following Camp dates as needed:  One medical affiliate for day hours; and one medical affiliate for evening/overnight hours to cover any medication administration, food allergy issues, or emergency care needed by students. 

 

June 10th-June 14th  Day and Night shift needed

July 8th- July 11th    Day and Night shift needed

 

 

The hourly rate for this position is $25 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Helps provide and maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Provide first aid to campers as needed
  • Administer prescription and over-the-counter drugs when necessary
  • Be a medical resource that would bridge the gap between basic medical knowledge and emergencies
  • Other duties as assigned

  1. Creates and maintains effective relationships with students, client companies, and staff to provide a high level of service and support.

  2. Promotes the educational values of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

  3. Serves as a role model to students.

  4. Represents Grayson College well; serves as an ambassador for the college in the community.

  5. Compliance with all laws and regulations related to industrial technology and higher education.

Qualifications

 

Qualifications:

  • EMT, LVN or higher.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications
  • Experience working with children and youth
  • Ability to maintain and administer all medications

 

This position requires three professional references. This position is considered a security sensitive position and will require a criminal background check.
